Final Freeway/Expressway Corridor -
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CORRIDOR
-
Follows the existing alignment from 17th St. in Hutchinson to just south of
43rd St.
-
Turns due north at 43rd St. and follows the ½ mile line for approximately 1 ½
miles.
-
Approximately ½ mile north of 56th St., curves towards the northeast.
-
Passes around the west and north sides of Medora, and rejoins the existing
alignment approximately 1 mile northeast of Medora.
-
Follows the existing alignment for approximately 4 miles, then turns north.
-
Passes around the west and north sides of Inman, and rejoins the existing
alignment approximately 1 mile northeast of Inman.
-
Follows the existing alignment for approximately 5 miles, turns north then east
to cross the railroad and existing highway just south of the existing
interchange.
-
Continues on an easterly direction for approximately 1 mile and connects with
the existing 4-lane south of McPherson.
ACCESS POINTS
Access would be provided at 30th St. in Hutchinson via a signalized,
at-grade intersection.
Access would be gained to the highway in Reno County via interchanges at the
following locations:

56th St., north of Hutchinson

RS 699 (Medora Road), just north of Medora
Access would be gained to the highway in McPherson County via at-grade
intersections or interchanges at the following locations:

RS 2031 (Arapaho Road), approximately 3 miles northeast of Medora

Buckskin Road, approximately 1 mile southwest of Inman
-
RS 446 (Cherokee Road), approximately ½ mile west of Inman (interchange)
-
Chisholm Road, approximately 2 miles northeast of Inman
-
RS 445 (Comanche Road) at Groveland
-
Eisenhower Rd., approximately 1 mile south of McPherson
-
Southwest of McPherson, near the existing interchange with K-153 highway
(interchange)
OVERPASS LOCATIONS
Opportunities to cross, but not enter or exit the highway would be
located at:

43rd St., north of Hutchinson
-
RS 446 (8th Avenue), approximately ½ mile north of Inman
